Ophelia

S/S 25 - F/W 26

This wedding gown was inspired by the 1851–52 painting by British artist Sir John Everett Millais named “Ophelia”. However, it has not meant to represent the story of Ophelia as known by the Hamlet play, nor the painting.

In our version, Ophelia represents the element of water and its characteristic of flow. Our Ophelia is placed in a mystical, land-art setting. She moves within the central circle of the spiral, walks, laughs, she is happy.

The inspiration of this wedding dress was the wave-like formation of the lace. An embroidered lace of exceptional quality, which sparkles in the light.

The lace has been hand- appliqué over a sheer tulle to convey the idea of “fluidity”, of the waves, of the flow. It has been lined internally with nude fabric, while the bottom part has been created of many tulles, cut into strips and hand-sewn so that to offer the effect of sea foam.

A wedding dress that no other bride will have ever worn. A unique wedding dress, that you will free to move and dance. Don't hesitate. Make it yours!
