“Eftychia” - “Ευτυχία”
Every collection from the starting moment of its creation till its closure, when the last detail has been added, is a journey embodied with a variety of feelings: excitement, frustration, confusion, rejection, disappointment, happiness.
“Happiness”. A complex and multifaceted emotion that encompasses a range of positive feelings. It is often associated with positive life experiences, such as achieving goals, spending time with loved ones, or engaging in enjoyable activities. The goal of the ritual of marriage is, and has to be, the “happiness” of the couple taking a vow to be together for the rest of their life. It is the goal, though, of every effort to be achieved, as, in our case, the design of a rising collection.
The word of “happiness” is spelled in greek “Eftychia”, εὐ- (eu-, “good”) + τῠ́χη (tŭ́khē, “luck”) + -ίᾱ (-íā, abstract noun suffix). “Eftychia” is the name, also, of my beloved grandmother that passed away. And this collection is dedicated to her memory.
Inspired by the romantic atmosphere of the Pre-Raphaelite’s artwork, the gowns designed flirt with our fragile sense. French laces of the finest quality have been used, embroidered so that to sparkle in the sunlight. The romance of the Pre-Raphaelite era runs through effortless sculpted silhouettes, totally crafted from scratch on tulle. Elegant statue silhouettes come in comparison with more voluminous ones. All the gowns designed have a common starting point: the poetry.
